Baldur’s Fate
Baldur and his psychologist continue their discussion of the Old Stories…
Baldur explains that after he dies, several years of bloody war and a complete moral collapse of society are supposed to follow. The Jormungand Serpent, a hideous snake that lives coiled around the world under the sea, will rise up onto to dry land. A massive battle between the gods and giants will take place and most of the universe will be destroyed in the process.
Baldur explains that this is why he refuses to believe in fate, and Freud wholeheartedly understands.
