Do they still run comics in newspapers? Sheesh, it's been a while. Our New York Times subscription only comes Monday through Friday and the closest thing to toonage I see there are poorly drawn editorial comics without even an attempted punchline. If I wanted high concept art I'd go look at Andy Warhol's little seen Baldur series down at the MOMA annex in the Bronx. And then, to add insult to injury, we've got full color glamor shots of Hillary Clinton on the front page, dressed in an electric blue sari, Christmas shopping in Pakistan. By my beard, how the mighty have fallen. I'll bet even Sunday Times Garfield knows his lasagna will be replaced with kibble soon. Maybe Odin and Friends could run in the weather section as some kind of meteorological analysis.
